To assign a course to learners, follow these steps:
- On the ALL COURSES tab of the Courses page, locate the course you want to assign.
- Hover over the course and click the menu icon that appears in the top-right corner.
- Click Assign course.
- Specify whether you want to assign the course to users (can be one or more), a group, or a role by selecting the appropriate button (User, Group, Role).
- Complete the form details, optionally keep the 'Email link to user?' checkbox selected and provide a message to be sent to the learners.
- Click Send.
The course is assigned and, if you kept the 'Email link to user?' checkbox selected, the learners are notified that the course has been assigned to them and can click a link in the email to access the course directly.
Assigning courses to learners in bulk using a CSV file
You can assign courses to learners in bulk using a .csv file. These learners can be new or existing users within your learning space. Before you can assign a course using a .csv file, you need to prepare a .csv file containing the following columns:
- Email address
- First name
- Last name
The file can optionally also include 'role' and 'access level' data.
Once you have prepared the .csv file, follow these steps:
- On the ALL COURSES tab of the Courses page, locate the course you want to assign.
- Hover over the course and click the menu icon that appears in the top-right corner.
- Click Assign course.
- Click the Import Learners from .CSV button.
- Locate and upload the file from your device.
- Optionally keep the 'Email link to user?' checkbox selected and provide a message to be sent to the learners.
- Click Send.
The course is assigned to the learners in the .csv file. If you kept the 'Email link to user?' checkbox selected, the learners are notified that the course has been assigned to them and can click a link in the email to access the course directly.
Unenrolling learners from courses
From the Enrolment Insight page:
- Access the learner's account page by locating and clicking their account name on the People page.
- Change to the COURSES tab and click the course you want to unenrol them from.
- Click the three-dot menu icon, then click Unenrol User.
- Access the Course Insight page for the course by locating and hovering over the course on the Courses page and clicking the Course Insight icon.
- Scroll down to the Who's Signed Up section, locate and hover over the user in the list.
- Click the three-dot menu icon, then click Unenrol User.
