After connecting your enterprise to a Slack workspace, you can link groups to Slack channels to promote course-related discussions between members.
Follow these steps:
- On the People page, click the GROUPS tab.
- Click Add group or select an existing group within the list.
- In the Add Group or Edit Group window, click the Slack channel drop-down menu and select the channel you want to link the group to.
- Manage the other settings for the group as necessary and click Save group setting.
The channel is connected to the group and existing members of the channel are notified.
Existing group members who are not already members of the Slack channel are added to the Slack channel, as are members who are added to the group in future.
On the My Profile page, users can view all of their groups and see any Slack channels that are connected to their groups. Users can also launch connected Slack channels by clicking the name of the channel.
